History of Backstreet Grill Backstreet Grill was started in October 1988 and is owned by brothers Reuben and Frank Thomas and Reuben’s wife Debbie. Debbie came up with the name Backstreet Grill based on a cafe on a popular soap opera. Debbie along with kids Sara and Matt also work at the restaurant. It is truly a family-owned restaurant. Reuben has vast experience in the restaurant industry having worked for various restaurants since the late 1970’s.The menu has changed extensively since we first opened. We offer a very well rounded menu both for breakfast and lunch. Reuben has made numerous changes based on requests from customers and from watching various cooking shows including Emeril. Reuben can be found daily back in the kitchen working his magic. He has earned a reputation for making the best omelets anywhere, based on many customers’ comments. His homemade salsa won first place at the Cinco de Mayo festival in 2003 & 2004. Most of our soups and specials are made from scratch. We offer generous portions and very reasonable prices. We are famous for our juicy burgers, spaghetti, wonderful malts, Carl’s special breakfast, Eggs Benedict, etc... |
